INEX Public Traffic Statistics

INEX has been providing a peering facility for the island of Ireland for 25 years

  • Over 2 exabytes of traffic flowed over INEX in 2023
  • 11 years after it formed, INEX reached the 1G milestone 15 Oct 2007
  • In 13/12 2022 we passed the milestone of 1Tb of traffic passed over the exchange.
  • INEX opened its first regional exchange in Cork in April 2016
  • IXP Manager, developed by INEX, is in use at over 218 IXPs around the World
  • In 2023, INEX attained the ISO27001 cyber security standard
