that's good from the point of view that update-l2database is working
correctly, but possibly bad from the point of view of HP's snmp naming
scheme for the switch ports (which is slightly unusual, but hey - not that
important).

It means you'll have to name your ports "1" through "24" in the switch port
configuration section of IXP Manager.  If you do this, you should see the
MAC entries appearing in the front-end (assuming you have some members
configured).

This kinda points out a design weakness with the code which affects the
mrtg configuration generator.  I'll have a chat with Barry and see what we
can do about this.

In the mean-time if you want to get the mrtg stuff working, you will need
to configure the switch type to be "Cisco Systems" or "Foundry Networks".
