Looks fine.

But:

The instructions for this have a fully qualified path for this:

/srv/birdseye/bin/birdc ...

/srv/birdseye/bin/birdc != birdc

/srv/birdseye/bin/birdc is a wrapper script for BirdsEye which ensures 
Bird's birdc is only invoked in restricted mode.
