" we're going to make unknown switches non-blocking from here on in"
What does that mean? :-)
" We need to release v4.8.0 before end of next week"
WOOHOO!! :-)
I don't know that I've ever used a switch that was "supported" by IXP Manager. I've submitted the info to OSS SNMP each time, but I don't go back and delete what I have and re-add it via the main method.

Kyle,
in addition to Mike's reply, as part of the migration of the code
controllers that add and manage switches from Zend to Laravel that Yann
is currently working on, we're going to make unknown switches
non-blocking from here on in.
Instead IXP Manager will ask you for the make and model of the switch.
We need to release v4.8.0 before end of next week as it's been long
awaited by a number of people so it's not clear of this switch work will
make that (unlikely) or wait for v4.9.0 later in the summer.
