it..works..?    :-)

the release notes are quite thorough (as one can come to expect from 
this excellent team) and tell you up front that you’ll need to commit 
a few hours to making it all work properly.  that’s true if you’re 
going to fully upgradesthe route-servers to BIRD2, etc;  if it’s just 
the php/ixpmanager bits, that’s considerably quicker.

i upgraded this at another IX that i help out at  (also opted to do the 
OS upgrade at the same time), and ran into just one  error :
Failed to parse dotenv file due to unexpected whitespace. Failed at 
["mrtg""].
Script @php artisan package:discover handling the post-autoload-dump 
event returned with error code 1
..which, as it turned out, was a double quotation sign at the end of 
mrtg declaration.  *blush*   all good otherwise!

we are scheduled to do the front-end stuff at INX-ZA this weekend, with 
the BGP-RS upgrades coming, after month-end freeze is over.
