There's many (many) ways to do this.

I generally do an in place upgrade and I'll make the usual tutorial 
videos demonstrating that including an operating system upgrade from 
22.04 to 24.04.

IXP Manager is important but should not be critical. I.e. if IXP Manager 
is offline, everything should still run as-is. So declaring a 
maintenance window should be fine for most IXPs.

For rollbacks, you have a couple options but in the case of an in place 
OS plus IXP Manager upgrade, I think a virtual machine snapshot would be 
a good idea so you can just roll back.

This will only work for small exchanges. When you have 10's or 100's of 
members this will not be feasible.

What did I miss that has annoyed people re Ubuntu 24.04? [besides the 
insane idea of renaming network interfaces]
