Historically we've always had a switch hostname, ipv4 address and ipv6 address. There's some inconsistency on how / when each is used. Our plan is (probably) to lose the addresses and use only the hostname.<br>

The SNMP functions you're referencing below use the hostname I believe and not the v4/6 addresses.<br>
