<div dir="ltr">Hi Barry,<div>The suggested solution worked fine for the cases where the cross-connection goes directly to the switch. I found another unusual case when the patch panel port goes to another patch panel instead of a switch. How would you handle those cases?<br><br></div><div>Thanks,</div><div><br></div><div>Best regards,<br><br></div><div>Salvador </div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">El sáb, 28 de ago. de 2021 a la(s) 07:15, Salvador Bertenbreiter (<a href="mailto:salvador@pitperu.net">salvador@pitperu.net</a>) escribió:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="auto">Hi Barry,<div dir="auto">I like the second option :) thank you for the advise. </div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">El sáb., 28 de agosto de 2021 3:29 a. m., Barry O'Donovan (INEX) <<a href="mailto:barry.odonovan@inex.ie" target="_blank">barry.odonovan@inex.ie</a>> escribió:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex">
<div>Hi Salvador,<br>
<br>
you have a couple options here:<br>
<br>
1) store this detail in the notes section of the physical interface; or<br>
<br>
2) I think a better option would be to create a pseudo-patch-panel
representing the switch and run it as if the switch ports were the patch
panel.<br>

<div dir="ltr">Hi guys,<div>I hope you're doing great. I'm trying to
manage all cross-connections we order in IXP manager. However, it looks
like (or I don't know where to find it) IXP Manager's patch panel
section doesn't work when the datacenter connects the cross-connection
cable directly into a switch port (not passing through a patch panel in
the rack itself). Is there a way to manage cross-connections (outside
the rack) that go directly to a switch port?</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks</div><div><br></div><div>Best
