So, for the rest of the list - one thing in your config that jumps out
at me is that you have an ASN32 for your route server ASN.
This essentially means that you can forget about community filtering and
so the alternation you made is fine. It would probably be better to get
a 16bit asn for the route server and support community filtering (even
if it won't work for the few members with 32-bit ASNs).
The second question for us is why is the 32 bit ASN causing no routes to
be exported. The community filter is (edited):
function ixp_community_filter(int peerasn)
{
# Implement widely used community filtering schema.
if (0, peerasn) ~ bgp_community then
return false;
if (routeserverasn, peerasn) ~ bgp_community then
return true;
if (0, routeserverasn) ~ bgp_community then
return false;
return true;
}
I wonder is the 32 bit asn tickling the follow check:
if (0, routeserverasn) ~ bgp_community then
return false;
Nikhil, can you apply the attached patch as follows:
cd /path/to/ixpmanager/root
git apply /path/to/nikhil-32bit-asn.diff
and let us know if it works?
